Aadhaar Jharkhand: Aadhaar is a 12-digit personal identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India on behalf of the Government of India. So the number serves as proof of identity and address anywhere in India. Aadhaar is a universal number, and agencies and services can access the central Unique Identification Database from anywhere in the country to authenticate the identity of the beneficiary by availing of authentication services.

Jharkhand: Linking Aadhaar Card with Ration Card

Till now only the Aadhaar card of the female head of the family had to be linked with the ration card. On the basis of this, the measurement of ration was decided by the names of all the members of the family. But now the central government has made it necessary to link the Aadhaar card of all the family members with the ration card. Also, the purpose of implementing this process by the government is to bring transparency in the allocation of rations received from the ration card. Now if the Aadhaar card of any member of the family is not linked to the ration card, then his/her share of the ration will not be available.

Aadhaar cards can be linked with ration cards through both offline and online methods. So this can be done by visiting the PDS center of your district or your ration card shop. An offline member whose Aadhaar card is to be linked. Photocopies of his Aadhaar card and ration card will have to be taken along. Apart from this, you can update the Aadhaar card number in the ration card online through the website of the Food Supply Department of your state sitting at home.

अभी तक राशन कार्ड के साथ परिवार की महिला मुखिया का ही आधार कार्ड जोड़ना होता था। इसी के आधार पर परिवार के सभी सदस्यों के नाम से राशन की माप तय की गई। लेकिन अब केंद्र सरकार ने परिवार के सभी सदस्यों के आधार कार्ड को राशन कार्ड से लिंक कराना जरूरी कर दिया है. सरकार द्वारा इस प्रक्रिया को लागू करने का मकसद राशन कार्ड से मिलने वाले राशन के आवंटन में पारदर्शिता लाना है. अब यदि परिवार के किसी सदस्य का आधार कार्ड राशन कार्ड से नहीं जुड़ा है तो उसके हिस्से का राशन नहीं मिल पाएगा।

आधार कार्ड को ऑफलाइन और ऑनलाइन दोनों तरीकों से राशन कार्ड से जोड़ा जा सकता है। यह आपके जिले के पीडीएस केंद्र या आपके राशन कार्ड की दुकान पर जाकर किया जा सकता है। एक ऑफलाइन सदस्य जिसका आधार कार्ड लिंक होना है। उसके आधार कार्ड और राशन कार्ड की फोटोकॉपी साथ ले जानी होगी। इसके अलावा आप घर बैठे अपने राज्य के खाद्य आपूर्ति विभाग की वेबसाइट के माध्यम से राशन कार्ड में आधार कार्ड नंबर को ऑनलाइन अपडेट कर सकते हैं।
