Central University of Jharkhand: The state government of Jharkhand has emphasized the development of higher education in the last few years. Several new schemes and programs have been launched in the previous two years. The achievements made in the last two years are undoubtedly very encouraging. However, the state still lags behind in terms of the estimated standard of higher education; As per the data available on the official website, Jharkhand state has a Gross Enrollment Ratio of 15.4%, while the National Gross Enrollment Ratio is 24%.

History
CUJ was established in 2009 under the first schedule of the Central Universities Act, 2009. The first and founding Vice-Chancellor (VC), Darlando Khathing, was appointed on 1 March 2009. Upon the culmination of his tenure in March 2014, he was replaced by acting vice chancellor A.N. Misra. Prof. Misra served as acting VC until the appointment of Nand Kumar Yadav Indu as permanent VC in August 2015. On completion of his term, Prof. Ratan Kumar Dey served as the acting VC for almost a year. Currently, Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das is heading the University.
Campus
The Brambe campus includes 70 independent classrooms and teaching labs, a 450-seat auditorium, a research lab complex for sciences, engineering workshops, a computer lab, and a linguistics lab. The university provides on-campus accommodation to students (total capacity of 1000 boys and girls in separate hostels).
What’s new at the Central University of Jharkhand?
Jharkhand Central University has released the Round 1 cutoff list for various postgraduate courses. Based on the marks obtained in Round 1, candidates are requested to appear for offline first-round admission scheduled for November 3.
The display of the provisional cut-off merit list of students for Round 2, if seats remain vacant will be released on November 7.
Jharkhand Central University accepts CUET-UG and CUET-PG admission scores for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Apart from this, the university also accepts the CAT and GATE entrance test scores for admission to MBA and MTech respectively. After completing the Jharkhand Central University online registration process follow the offline mode of the application process
